      Images of Enchantment

  Located in an isolated section of northwest New Mexico, the Bisti Badlands are as close as you can come to being on another planet without leaving the earth. The area contains a myriad of colorful and surreal geological formations, including hoodoos, mushroom fields, and bentonite erosion forms. Unfortunately, the Bisti is threatened by the possibility of commercial development due to the mineral riches it contains. I hope that my photography can call attention to the fragile beauty of this unique place and the need to preserve it for future generations.
